Community support

Cornish College’s motto is ‘Make a Difference’ and students are involved in a number of community activities and fundraising including the Winter Sleep Out, the Eat Up Program for OzHarvest, Bottle for Botol and supporting the Noble Park English Language Centre.

Winter Sleep Out

Sixty students from Years 6 to 11, along with many staff, participate in the Winter Sleep Out on campus each year. In 2017, the Cornish community and Sleep Out raised over $15,000. These funds purchases backpack beds from ‘Swags For Homeless’. Students also made sandwiches for Oz Harvest’s ‘Eat Up’ Program.

Noble Park English Language Centre

Our community supports the Noble Park English Language Centre, which hosts many people who have just arrived to Australia, by donating shoes, clothing, basketballs and blankets at different times throughout the year. Students from the College also host a group of students from the Centre and introduce the students to golf and building relationships.
