Deputy Principal – Head of Secondary Years

This Executive Leadership position centres on the academic care and development of students. At its core is the leadership of people.  The role requires the expert leadership of students, teams of teachers and middle level leaders in a culture of growth to ensure the continuing success of the College in educating for a sustainable future. The Deputy Principal – Head of Secondary Years will lead students, parents and staff from Years 7 to 12, setting high expectations for all individuals to ensure the opportunity to succeed and thrive is available to all in our learning community. 

The position requires a leader who demonstrates the College’s values of creativity, respect, integrity and compassion in all that they do and will embrace a culture where individual differences are appreciated and celebrated and where strengths are acknowledged and nurtured.

This role is offered as an ongoing teaching role with a five year tenured leadership position.

  • Lead teams of staff in a culture of trust and empowerment for continuous growth
  • Imagine, develop and lead programs that meet the social, emotional and academic needs of students from Years 7 to 12
  • Support the growth and development of all students to find their difference and thrive in a sustainable world
  • Lead a cycle of review and improvement to ensure the best educational environment and academic offerings for a sustainable future
  • Build relationships that are the cornerstone of success for a learning community
