Tenor Leighton Triplow is available for hire as a classical singer at weddings, funerals, corporate events, private functions and religious ceremonies. He is known for his beautifully polished and even sound, exquisite phrasing, vocal agility and musical intelligence with a wealth of performance experience spanning early opera to contemporary genres. Leighton completed his PhD in classical voice and musicology in his mid-20s at the Melbourne Conservatorium of Music, University of Melbourne. His doctoral research explores constructs of gender, performance styles, and character realisation in the secular songs of English Restoration composer Henry Purcell (1659–1695). Prior to this period of intense study, Leighton achieved a high distinction aggregate in his Bachelor of Music (Hons) with concerts during career development abroad at the Handel House Museum, International Anthony Burgess Foundation and Australian High Commission, London. He is regularly engaged around Victoria as an ensemble singer and soloist with an extensive knowledge of Roman Catholic liturgical music and membership to the esteemed Australian Chamber Choir.

Leighton attended the Cornish Campus of St Leonard’s College from 1998 to 2008 and currently serves in a volunteer capacity as the Cornish College Archivist.
