We are delighted to congratulate one of our primary teachers and Academic Care Leader, Darren Thresher, who has been awarded a Teaching Innovation Fellowship by the Victorian Academy of Teaching and Leadership. He is a graduate of their Teaching Excellence program.
Darren is one of 30 teachers from 26 government and non-government schools across Victoria to receive a Fellowship to enable and support excellent teachers to be agents of change in their schools and across the education system.
Each Fellowship provides funding, professional learning and mentoring to design and implement a 12-month innovation project at their schools.
Darren’s project at Cornish will focus on mathematical problem-solving and developing mathematical vocabulary for Years 5 and 6 students and we look forward to seeing the development of his project over the coming year.
