Our Students

Cornish College students are individuals. Like all children, they are natural inquirers and powerful learners, and we nurture that sense of inquiry to help them reach their potential.

Students at Cornish College are encouraged to be risk-takers. Guided risk taking can be seen through play and through our approach to inquiry learning. As risk-takers our students learn to take responsibility for their learning and their behaviours as our teachers artfully help them to navigate daily challenges.

Our reputation for developing the ‘whole child’ comes from a community effort to support, guide and challenge each individual.

Through our model of sustainable education, our students become members of a globally aware, compassionate and active community. Our students make a difference.

“The world we live in faces many problems, but after our time here at Cornish, we know that the problems of humanity will not be solved by numbers alone; a sustainable future for us all requires more than numbers on a certificate, it requires compassionate, engaged, curious and kind-hearted people who will act on the basis of our common humanity.”
