Running Skills for Years 1 – 6

Students in Years 1 – 6 have the opportunity to participate in a weekly Running Skills session. Sessions take place on the College oval between 3.45pm and 4.30pm on Thursday afternoons. This activity suits students who have an interest in running and want to develop their skills and fitness in a fun, safe environment.

The sessions are enjoyable, accessible and include coaching in running technique, pacing and endurance, at a level appropriate to the age of participants. Students may even wish to work towards a 2km or 5km running goal.

Jim Poussard, an accredited running coach from Bayside Run Coaching, leads the sessions. Jim has extensive experience in coaching running and athletics skills to primary aged children. For more information, please go to www.baysideruncoaching.com.au or contact Jim on 0450 379 810.
